Casino Royale in Concert - 30th September 2017

The weekend of 30th September and 1st October 2017 saw the world premiere of Casino Royale in Concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, with the music score being performed live by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. The concert started with a Q&A session with the films composer David Arnold, who was a pleasure to listen to and it was great to hear his enthusiasm for the Bond canon and the late, great John Barry. The film then started as the strings, brass and percussion of the Royal Philharmonic kicked. From start to finish the concert was breath-taking, and it was fantastic to hear such a powerful score played by a live orchestra. Below are some images from the event, including the nice touch on an original Aston Martin DB5 parked outside the Albert Hall. I really hope that do some other Bond concerts in the future along these lines, as it would be superb to hear some of the Barry scores played live, especially one of my favourites On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
