The Original Bond Artist

On Saturday 19th June, 2021, I made the journey to the Wiltshire city of Salisbury to visit the 'Richard Chopping - The Original Bond Artist' exhibition being held at Salisbury Museum. Richard Chopping was an accomplished artist, illustrator and author, but is perhaps best known for his trompe l'oeil covers for nine of the James Bond books by Ian Fleming. The exhbition, although small, covers Chopping's Bond work, but also showcases his career before and after the Fleming books. The exhibition runs until the 3rd October 2021 and is well worth a visit if you are in Salisbury. More details can be found on the Salisbury Museum website.
